Why the packages are password-protected
Not to protect the code — it is free. The password is a deliberate speed bump: it keeps a tool that can open and close circuit breakers from being downloaded by a curious passer-by, and it means whoever is running it has at least written to me once.
Ask for it and you will get it. There is no vetting, no form to sign, no licence to buy.
Getting a package
- Download the archive from the product page.
- Write to giovanni.sanna@sang-systems.com naming the program you downloaded.
- The password comes back by email, together with the SHA-256 checksum so you can verify the file.
- Extract, install, and tell me how it went.
