Feedback
Tell me what is wrong with it
The software is free because feedback from people doing the work is worth more to me than a licence fee. Nothing is too small to report.
What helps most
- A bug
- What you did, what happened, what you expected. The make and model of the device you were connected to, if there was one.
- An unsupported device
- Manufacturer, model, firmware, and the protocol you were using. An SCL or configuration file, if you can share it.
- An awkward workflow
- The step that costs you time on site. These reports change the software more than bug reports do.
- An idea
- Something the tool should do and does not. Say what problem it would solve, not how you would build it.
Before you write
Include the version number shown on the program's About screen, and the version of Windows you are running. It answers half the questions I would otherwise have to ask.
If the tool did something unsafe or unexpected on a live installation, say so in the first line. Those reports go to the front of the queue.
